Hi everyone,
NWLF which usually meets the 2nd Saturday of the month
in Liverpool, is for this month only, being held on the
3rd Saturday. For more info see:

We've been busy, behind the scenes, organising the
MFM (Sept 5th) We've managed to fully book all
the stalls for Sept 5th, and are now putting stall
holders we don't have room for on a list for
future markets.(Oct 3rd, Nov 7th, Dec 5th)
This means that there will be something new
each month. There's a good mixture of stalls. Some
will be familiar to those who have been to the BBB,
some are completely new to markets, and one is
travelling all the way from the south coast! Word
certainly has spread far and wide.
There will be hot and cold food available throughout
the afternoon, including vege options. The bar
will be open, although tea and numerous types of
coffee (the club owner is a coffee connoisseur ;)
will be available too. Admission is £2 on the door.
There's good news on the Mercy front too. After
speaking with the club owner on Wednesday evening,
he's agreed we can use both floors for party nights.
This means we can have the ground floor as a
social space. Music is courtesy of sistercarrion,
a DJ and co-organiser of Midian, a goth club
which runs monthly in Liverpool. There will be a
dance floor for those who like to dance the night
away. The bar sells drinks at pub prices, not the
usual club prices, and tea and coffee will be
available too.
The first floor will be a no smoking zone. The
play area and chill out area will be up there.
Having the play area and social area seperate
means it is ideal for people who've never been
to a club before. There will be meet and greet
for anyone who is new. Dress code although
fetish, can be accomodating towards those who
are new and maybe haven't got what they would
consider fetish clothing. So, don't let the
clothing problem be a reason for not coming
along. Mail us and we will come to some kind
of compromise with you.
The emphasis at Mercy is to create a
"social space" for the alternative and kinky
people in the area, where people can be
themselves, dress up as they like, mix with
other likeminded people and basically have a
great night out.
Now we have 2 floors instead of one it
means we can double the number of people,
so tickets are now available again for
Sunday 29th August (Bank holiday Sunday
7.30-midnight)and after the market on
September 5th (6pm-midnight) They do
have to be pre-booked, so if you would
like to come along please mail us, telling
us which night/s you want to book for.
For years now we've had people telling us
what was missing was a fetish club here in
Liverpool. We've now got one, and it's up
to people to support it and keep it going.

Date: 2004-08-14 07:34 am (UTC)At the planning meeting we really pushed for two floors, as quite a few people wanted a social area, as well as a play space.. I told them that there was no real way to run this on the same floor in that venue, you really need two separate areas... Plus the music in the playspace really needs to set a mood and be unobtrusive.. you can't really get that with a dancefloor there too..
I'll be running the social floor with a wide variety of tunes, you'll be glad to hear.. time to dust off all my rock, 80's and party stuff again :) huzzah!! Been missing playing a variety of stuff, since the Boothill closed.

Looks like it'll be fun.. there's loads of tickets already been sold..
