IMPORTANT NEWS ABOUT HEX
Oct. 14th, 2005 07:30 pmThis is rumour control speaking ;) Just some important information for you all. Please feel free to repost this, and pass it on whereever you feel is appropriate.
You may have heard on the news and via our front page of the Hex site about a fire that occured last night at the building containing Hex (evening of 13/10-14/10). Luckily no one was hurt, and there is no structural damage. Whilst this was a relatively small fire, there is quite a lot to clean up, sort out and fix. As such for the meantime we will be closed for a short time, as i'm sure you will all appreciate.
HOWEVER, we are planning to get up and running again as soon as we physically can, and rest assured that we're pulling out all the stops to reopen in the next few weeks. In order to do this we will need as much support as possible. If you know anyone who may be able to help us out in ANY way, then please get in touch asap..
The quickest way to do this at the moment is via my email listed below.
The following is important so i've put it in caps:
WE ARE HOPING TO BE ABLE TO REHOME THE KIDS NIGHTS ASAP AT ANOTHER VENUE UNTIL WE CAN REOPEN. WE WILL HAVE FULL DETAILS OF THIS SHORTLY.
Unfortunately this will mean the postponment of a few nights, but we're hoping that we can reopen as quickly as possible with minimum disruption.
There will be more information here as and when we have it, so please keep checking back to find out the latest info. If we can please ask for as much support as possible, we'd all really appreciate it. We have a lot of fun stuff lined up for the next few months, and we need to be opening as quickly as we can.
The biggest help you can all be at this immediate aftermath is to ensure that the correct information and news is passed on to anyone who may be planning to come to Hex. Please pass on the website address, and forum details so that they have access to up to date news on what's going on. Rest assured, as soon as we have any more info as to what exactly will be happening it will be appearing here.
Please pass on the news, and we ask you all for your continued support.
Regards and best wishes to you all

What this means for events we have booked at Hex ie After Dark etc:
As this only happened last night, we haven't been able to fully assess damage to the venue yet, and the equipment that we use for our personal nights/gigs. We're planning a trip down there tomorrow, and should have a better idea then. The venue is planning to reopen before Halloween, as most of the damage seems to be in the foyer area, with the rest being smoke damaged. If we/they can do this, then all nights and events myself and Jason have booked there should be ok. Again i'll mention what i've said above.. we're looking for as much help as possible here. If anyone thinks they may be able to help, please please get in touch.
