Dunno, I think the remark was quite right. I mean, true, Marilyn Manson does have some fans who are in it for the music (ie instuments or the sound of his voice), the way he looks and/or the 10% of the songs that aren't all about how crappy the world and Christianity is. BUT the vast teenage majority of Manson fans are in it 'cause they like having a role-model who bashes the hell out of Christianity and the general white American lifestyle... The main reason for this being the fact that so many Christians are stupid enough to reject these teenagers in the first place for how they look, etc. Even further, Manson isn't an idiot, he knows very well that Christianity isn't the problem, the problem is the idiots who blindly follow it, but he knows he makes more money when he satisfies all the angsty teenagers. Bah, I just don't think the remark was snidey, it was purely realistic.
