Catching up...

Phew.. loads of stuff to report.. but not much time to do it in.. so the edited highlights are as follows:

Morecambe was ace.. Jared did really well in his first set with 616Abortions, and got to boogie with Natasha from Meltdown mag.. a woman after my own heart.. Took her extensions out in order to dance on the Friday, while i took off my spike heel boots in order to dance on the slidy gym-esque Dome floor.. Sat was good too, with Stefan from APB seemingly evolving into Eddie Izzard!! Got loads of cheap complilations from Nightbreed Trev's stall for djing with too.. huzzah!! Good to catch up with people, especially the Preston crew..
Stayed up all night on the sat and got to see the sunrise over the bay which was gorge, despite the mud :) Consequentely had no f***in' voice at all on the Sun on the way back to York..

Had also spent a traumatic Thursday in York.. due to some relationship stress amongst friends, and feeling trapped in a strange place.. had the mother of a wibble attack.. hmm.. Have to go the docs about this i feel.. bugger.. was hoping to avoid that this year..

Spent a fun few days in York when i was back from Morecambe.. Pancakes,fun shops and good company. Got a kewl complilation cd from Jared to DJ with. Got to meet up with the lovely Glenn and Jo from Strangeangel, and Jared got offered his first djing stint in York. Oh yeah, and he started his new screenprinting job on Wed.. Good going fella! Good to spend some time with Pete and Beth too.. just wish i could have talked to Anna a bit more.. bit worried about her at the mo..

Shops are good in York, kewl witchy shops.. herbaly things, and alternative shops.. got offered a job too.. in a comic shop!! Hope to make it up that way again soon..

Rest of week..
been quite down.. Thought i'd lost my chance with my little friend after he got his phone stolen in Morecambe, and i didn't spend as much time with him as i would've liked in Morecambe.. but after an e-mail last night saying how he's broken a rib, and got blood poisoning i feel bad for feeling so self-centred about it.. miss him :( It's awkward with him living in Widnes, and me in the wirral, me working nights, and him days.. but i would like to see him more..

Also real down about cash.. don't know whether i can meet rent this month, and bills are starting to come in.. have to make some cash fast.. desparate measures i feel :( Tied into this stupid lease up until June, with no way out.. trapped again.. story of my life!

Plus points of the week tho'.. got an unexpected present from a close friend which was a real thoughtful one..going on a daytrip out with this person next week too, which should be a laugh.. bit of a break. Also been in touch with Natasha about distributing Meltdown.. she's said this'll be kewl.. ace! Also got flyers from Soibhan for the Catacombs night, which should be good. just got to rearrange my shifts now so i can go..

Wierd point of the week, horny texts whilst away in morecambe off my ex-boss and his girlfriend.. wanting me to ahem "join in".. have to decline that one i think.. hehe.. told 'em i had something going on.. which i do..


Looking forward to DJing on Wednesday.. have sorted out headphones now.. just got to get into the Boothill at some stage to practise ;)

Having just read round a few friends Lj's.. i know realise why i want to keep a certain distance from all the "he said, she said" crap that tends to populate this scene and always has done.. These things tend to get a little "too" incestous at times.. which reminds me.. got to check out mr Eleganza's relationship diagram thingy!! I tend to get too emotionally involved if i start asking.. sometimes i know it sounds selfish, but i'd rather not get involved.. I've seen it destroy certain scenes and friendships before ;(
